Phase one of the £30m regeneration of the former MoD site in Gosport has been granted planning permission
An update on the redevelopment of the area surrounding the Explosion Museum. A BREWERY, museum and bar or restaurant will all be built along an historic section of Gosport waterfront.
Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust (PNBPT) is developing the site in partnership with Elite Homes. They plan to build 30 homes, a new Coastal Forces Museum and a brewery with associated bar/restaurant.
The housing construction is earmarked to begin in May or June and be completed between April and September 2021. It is part of the wider Priddy’s Hard regeneration that will turn the old naval Armaments Centre, which dates back to 1750, into a residential and tourist hub
This major waterfront heritage area, is surrounded by ramparts that form a scheduled ancient monument. The site is at the northern end of Gosport’s Millennium Promenade, which runs along the waterfront and connects the site with the Gosport ferry and town centre.
